Simone Legno for Target
Ciao Everybody,
I am proud to announce my first personal project: “Simone Legno” for Target.
Its an honor and exciting to be invited by Target to make this ‘designer for less” line for kids, and to be put into the history of Target’s designer collections which include Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Philippe Starck, Michael Graves and many other incredible talents!
This was the very first time that I worked to create a line exclusively targeted for kids, and it was a very free, fun and spontaneous process that led me to make a line of characters based on a young punk rock lifestyle. Ever since moving to America I have wanted to reach the whole country with my art and message, and through Target I can do it! I hope kids will have cool stuff without breaking their piggy bank, but maybe just kindly asking “please please Mum!!â€. I am even happy to be able to give a bit of my design for a very affordable price in a period that the global economy is suffering and people are doing their best to make their living.
Please note that you won’t see any of the tokidoki characters since this is a completely different project and design experience for me.
This back to school collection of tee shirts, school bags and stationery will be available for only a very short time…hope most people can get it!

i just got my shirts in the mail from target.com today! the targets in Hawaii dont know about the collection yet but i sure hope it comes in soon, the shipping to Hawaii is crazy!
Got the whole collection so far, and it’s so sweet. I’m so excited for Simone… this is a HUGE step for his phenomenal career, and his sentiment is totally the right mindset. You’re the best, Simone, keep it up, my friend!!
I just ordered the messenger bag and grey t from Target – I hope one day you will venture into Canada at the Bay or Zellers the way you are doing for Target – Canadians love Tokidoki too!

OMG, I live in Australia and there’s an australian version of Target. I wish they could import some tokidoki stuff here
Thanks so much for being able to do this. I love Target & Tokidoki =) Now my daughters (9 & 5) can get in on the fun of collecting and using your artwork. I bought the shirts for my oldest but I haven’t seen any of the other stuff yet at our local Targets here in San Diego. I hope to see them soon so I can snag all of it!

omigosh! i work at a target in az in the electronics department, and when i saw the back to school stuff come out i nearly freaked!
i am so happy and excited to see your art spread through out the country!

I really like the Target stuff I bought the pens, the backpack, all the little books, the note books, one of the clip boards and the folders and one binder and the highlighters lol

As a huge mexican tokidoki fan, I went to San Diego last week and got inside one Target store at Mission Valley and searching for the famous ” designer for less” collabs at the women galore I didn’t found anything, previously i’ve gotten amazing stuff by Luella and other designers, i kept walking to the kids section where they have all this amazing (as all years) school supplies and then I found the “designer for less” collab and it was YOURS!!! I went crazy, but they didn’t had the messenger bag wich I LOOOOOOVED it! but still i bought the folders wich are the cutest thing ever. ^^… so past tomorrow my best friend’s coming to mexico and now he’s gonna bring me the messenger bag, because it is amazing! and the prize and everything!

I always wanted him to make some tokidoki backpack for school. I already have two designer tkidki bags but they are too expensive for me to let them get dirty at hs. Plus it’s much cheaper than $180 thanks I love the black backpck can’t wait to show it off at school
OMG! I just love tkdk!!!! but I’m sad too because i live up in canada and Therese not allot of tkdk… im in the west alberta! omg i own like allot of tkdk but i soooo totally want target clothes!!!! I also got 1 tkdk bag its the punk one its soo cool! but i still wish there would be a store in calgary alberta! It would be so cool!

and i adore simone’s work! … but i live in Wales 
so if i want cool tkdk stuff my only option is ebay…. but if there was a shop somewear in cardiff or swansea that would be awesome!!! 
i’d be buying there regularly!… and also i introduced my friends to tokidoki and they love it too! (who woulden’t ! ) so there would be many customers! :-O

I bought a back pack for my daughter in 2009 we absolutely love it she still had her back pack, but as much as we love it we have to let it go. To bad Target doesn’t sell them anymore. Can anyone tell me where to find this brand?
